Mutual Gain and Tattenhall Delight Ready to Deliver
Trainer Andy Leung Ting-Wah’s up and coming horses Mutual Gain and Tattenhall Delight showed impressive performances at the races that they participated at.
At the Happy Valley meeting last Wednesday, Tattenhall Delight with a rating of 40 competed at Happy Valley.
Tattenhall Delight came off the gates slow in the second heat which was won by Achilles of Troy in 62.61 seconds. However, the horse has shown some improvement and is reaching its peak late this season. Because of which, he can be competitive against weaker opposition.
Meanwhile, Mutual Gain peaked too early to fall behind trainer Tony Cruz’ Bullish King. Matthew Chadwick steered Bullish King to victory in the third race with a time of 61.87 seconds. Mutual Gain settled for second place after finishing 1 ¼ lengths behind the Group placegetter Bullish King which has an 85 rating.
Due to his performance, Mutual Gain proved that he is capable of a late-season rally against Class Five competitors especially at Happy Valley where he is performing very well.
In other news, trainer Peter Ng Bik-kuen is pleased to see his horse Island Speed which has a 96 rating trounced the opposition by winning the first race in 62.14 seconds. Island Speed won by three-quarters of a length and had a comfortable race. Because of this dominating performance, jockey Derek Leung Ka-chun looked over his shoulder and twiddled his thumbs at the 150 metre mark.
