HKJC Consolidates French Connection
Hong Kong Jockey Club Chairman John C C Chan, Chief Executive Officer Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges and Executive Director, Racing, William A Nader attended the Deauville meeting in France over the weekend.
The trio presented trophies to the winning connections of two special races on behalf of the HKJC, the Prix Gontaut-Biron Hong Kong Jockey Club (Gr.3-2000m) and the Prix du Hong Kong Jockey Club (Handicap-1600m).
The HKJC and France Galop commemorated the 160th anniversary of French presence in Hong Kong in May with the HKJC and France Galop presenting the France Galop Cup at Happy Valley Racecourse in May.
The weekend presentations in France continue to build the HKJC brand throughout the world. The HKJC already makes presentations during the Melbourne Spring Carnival with its sponsorship of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Plate.
