The Blue Diamond Stakes

The 2009 Blue Diamond Stakes was conducted on the 21st of February at the Caulfield Races. Thirteen horses battled it out through 1200 metres to take home the winner’s share of the $1 million prize purse. Despite a close race, Reward for Effort and jockey Luke Nolen held onto the lead that they had coming out of the fifth barrier to claim the victory. Reward for Effort is trained by Peter Moody.
