Crystal Lily Can Still Compete at Golden RoseAugust 17, 2010
Due to a surprising first-up defeat, the chances that Crystal Lily will participate in the Sydney spring racing carnival became stronger. In what is considered as a minor shift in their campaign, Crystal Lily owner David Moodie said that they are strongly eyeing a run at the Group One Golden Rose Stakes at the Rosehill racecourse on Saturday as long as the right conditions for the said horse prevail. |
HONG KONG HORSE RACING
The Hong Kong Horse Racing season runs from September to July with the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) running races at the Sha Tin Racecourse and at Happy Valley Racecourse during the Hong Kong racing season.
September 13 is the date that the 2009/10 Hong Kong horse racing season commences at Sha Tin when the HKJC will kick off its 125th anniversary.
Sha Tin Racecourse was built in 1978 and today is capable of hosting 85,000 spectators who flock to the track to watch world class racing on a world-class track.
Group One Feature races at Sha Tin Racecourse include the Hong Kong Derby, the Queen Elizabeth II Cup, the Champions Mile, the Hong Kong International Races and the Hong Kong Triple Crown.
Hong Kong racing is also conducted at the Happy Valley Racecourse, which has a fantastic setting for racing fans.
Hong Kong racing really comes alive under lights at the Happy Valley Racecourse with skyscrapers overlooking the racetrack making the Happy Valley Racecourse a destination you can't ignore if you're ever in Hong Kong.
The Happy Valley Racecourse is home to not only great racing but also the Hong Kong Racing Museum, which is located on the second floor of the Happy Valley Racecourse Stand.
